San Francisco-based law firm Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLP is pleased to welcome Raymond Buddie to the firm’s partnership.
Ray brings more than 30 years of experience representing clients in complex construction matters and resolving high-stakes construction-related disputes. Drawing on his unique background as a former surveyor and civil/structural engineer, Ray brings a deep understanding of both the legal and technical issues that can arise during major construction projects.
Over the course of his career, Ray has represented some of the nation’s largest commercial contractors in pursuing and defending significant construction claims. In addition to his litigation practice, Ray has served as an arbitrator in hundreds of multiparty construction disputes throughout the United States and internationally. He also advises clients on contract negotiation, labor and surety matters, Public Contract Code compliance, and entitlement issues for real estate development projects.
Ray’s arrival builds on Coblentz’s nationally recognized real estate and land use practice, expanding the firm’s integrated capabilities to counsel clients on the full spectrum of development matters—from project planning and entitlements through construction, dispute resolution, and litigation. His engineering background and decades of experience handling complex construction matters complement the firm’s deep bench of real estate, land use, and litigation attorneys.
