Cohen Financial Secures $7.95MM Financing for High-Profile Grocery Anchored Shopping Center in Upscale San Jose, Calif. Community

San Francisco (April 9, 2012) – Cohen Financial, a national real estate capital services firm, today announced that it has secured a $7.95 million refinancing of the Canyon Creek Plaza Shopping Center, a high-profile grocery anchored retail property in the upscale Silver Creek area of San Jose, California.  Canyon Creek Plaza, a 58,215 square-foot center is anchored by a New Leaf Community Markets, a regional natural foods store based in Santa Cruz, California.

Kenneth M. Fox, CCIM, a Managing Director in Cohen Financial’s San Francisco office, originated the transaction and secured the fixed rate financing.  The lender was a life insurance company.  The borrower is a Santa Clara County-based real estate investor/developer group.  The transaction closed in March 2012.
