Colliers International Adds Top Private Capital Retail Investment Team To San Francisco Office

SAN FRANCISCO – May 27, 2015 –Colliers International today announced the addition to its investment brokerage ranks of two of the Bay Area’s most productive retail investment brokers, Peter Mikacich and Shaun Bloomquist. The new additions specialize in the sale of properties in the 20 or so key San Francisco neighborhoods, including the Marina, the Mission, the Haight, Sacramento Street, the Richmond District and Hayes Valley.

Mikacich, whose career has spanned more than two decades, will hold the title of senior vice president and Bloomquist, with 12 years’ experience, will serve as a vice president. Both will continue to represent landlords, investors, developers and tenants throughout the Bay Area’s retail districts.

Prior to his commercial brokerage career, Mikacich served with the East Bay development firm CRES, where he was responsible for shopping center development, leasing and management. In 1994, he joined a leading brokerage company and began specializing in retail investment sales and leasing. Over the next 12 years, he completed some 400 transactions for his clients and represented a growing list of buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants.

Bloomquist began his career as a top producing mortgage broker, which enabled him to draw in his financing experience in representing buyers and sellers on retail investment properties. He built a portfolio representing and assisting building owners and landlords with all of their commercial real estate requirements, including building sales, office leasing and ground-floor retail leasing.
