New building adds to the fundation for Hispanic Eudcation’s Campus
SAN JOSE, CA (September 10, 2018) – Northern California developer SWENSON announced the completion of a new building on the Foundation for Hispanic Education’s campus, located at 14281 Story Road in San Jose.
Situated on the southeastern end of the 11-acre campus, Sobrato Hall East includes 14 classrooms, a student lounge, administrative offices, and 25 parking spots. The 20,080 square foot building also creates a space for after-hour extracurricular enrichment activities, parent resource and leadership development sessions, college and career pathway development, and professional development training for Foundation teachers.
“The addition of this new building on The Foundation for Hispanic Education Campus permits the two schools located on the site, Latino College Preparatory Academy and Roberto Cruz Leadership Academy, to better serve the 700 students and their families of the local East San Jose community,” says Ed Alvarez, President of The Foundation for Hispanic Education. Established in 1981, the Foundation was founded on the vision of providing quality education and support for all underserved learners, with a focus on Latino students.
