LOS ANGELES, CA – Gensler, the leading global design firm, announced architect Deborah Shepley, AIA, LEED AP joined the firm as Director of Higher Education.
As Director of Higher Education, Shepley joins the Gensler team of higher education planners, architects, and interior designers and will partner with community college districts throughout the State of California. She brings strategic leadership and experience in master planning, capital outlay planning, and programming for a variety of building types. Working hand-in-hand with community college leaders and user groups, Shepley facilitates successful planning and programming efforts that address program specific needs based on solid planning principles.

Prior to joining Gensler, Shepley was a Principal and Higher Education Practice Leader at HMC Architects.

Shepley is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a LEED Accredited Professional. She is an active member of industry leading professional organizations including the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), the Association of CA Community College Administrators (ACCCA), the Association of College Business Officials (ACBO), and the Community College Facilities Coalition (CCFC). Shepley earned her Bachelor of Architecture and Masters of Science in Architecture from Tulane University.
