San Francisco — Field Paoli Architects has promoted Katie Handy to the position of senior associate, announced Christen Soares, principal of the San Francisco architectural and urban design firm.
Katie joined Field Paoli in 2007. Her completed projects include Vino Volo in various locations, Floodcraft Brewing in San Jose, and multiple Whole Foods Markets throughout the Bay Area. Currently, she is working on Subpar Miniature Golf at Ghirardelli Square and 26,000 sf of retail and creative office space in downtown San Mateo. She is a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association and a curator of F3 at the Cotton Mill in Oakland, California. She has also served as an event planner for the AIA San Francisco Chapter’s Architecture and the City Festival. She received her bachelor of arts in architecture in 2006 from the University of California, Berkeley, and she studied furniture design and fabrication at the Denmark School of Design.
