OAKLAND, CALIF. (Feb. 11, 2015) – Five community association professionals from the Bay Area have been honored with Vision Awards by the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). The Vision Awards are presented to the “best of the best” – individuals who have displayed outstanding achievements in the California community association management industry.
The awards ceremony was held recently at the Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, Calif., as part of CACM’s Northern California Law Seminar and Expo event which drew nearly 600 community managers and HOA product and service providers. CACM’s Vision Awards are the only industry awards that focus strictly on community management for the state of California, now home to more than 50,200 homeowners associations.
Three Northern California professionals earned Leadership Awards, which recognize managers who developed innovative, proven solutions to critical issues facing California community associations, demonstrated best practices in the field or made an outstanding contribution to their community during the previous year. This year’s Leadership Awards were presented to Frank Alioto III with Community Management Services Inc. in Campbell, Liza DeJesus with Action Property Management Inc. in San Francisco and Robert Dishman with Action Property Management/The Infinity Owners Association, also in San Francisco.
In addition, Janet Quinn Dennis, president and owner of Pro Solutions in Pittsburg, earned CACM’s “Excellence in Service” award for her many contributions to CACM including mentorship of numerous community managers over the years.
The “Managers’ Choice” award was presented to Patti Hoster with Community Association Management in Pleasanton. The award winner is selected by other managers in the industry through an anonymous online voting process. The recipient exhibits a strong commitment to the industry and applies high professional standards, ethics and loyalty when working with HOA boards of directors and service providers in the industry.
“CACM’s Vision Awards recognize those members who have demonstrated professionalism, creativity and dedication that go way beyond what’s expected in their normal scope of work,” said David Zepponi, president and CEO of CACM. “The Vision Awards are an opportunity to honor professionals who consistently overcome the unique challenges of working in this industry in California, creating better communities for homeowners as a result. These are the top professionals in our field – those who are dedicated to making California one of the premier places to live in the nation.”
Based in Laguna Hills, Calif., CACM is the only community association management organization in the nation to offer a California-only educational program leading to the designations of Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM®) and Master of Community Association Management (MCAM®) for industry professionals. CACM’s membership is comprised of nearly 3,000 California-based professionals from the community association management industry. For more information on CACM, please visit www.cacm.org.
