Gensler Appoints Natalie Engels to Principal

SAN JOSE – March 17, 2017 – Gensler, a global design firm, announced the promotion of Natalie Engels as Principal in its San Jose office. The appointment recognize Natalie’s outstanding leadership attributes and significant contributions to the firm’s success.

Natalie Engels has focused her 20-year career on transforming Silicon Valley workplaces into collaborative experiences that help this iconic region innovate. The technology industry is surrounded by her work every day, at places like Adobe, Intuit, Hewlett-Packard, Palo Alto Networks and many more. As a Design Principal and global Technology Practice Area leader, Natalie’s research and futurecasting have appeared in numerous publications and an ongoing blog series. A native of Louisiana, Natalie infuses her work with a sense of “soul” that she credits to the natural environs of her home state, as well as to her expertise in hospitality and amenity design. She creates spaces that resonate emotionally, resulting in positive experiences and memories for the individual. Natalie was named one of Silicon Valley’s most influential “40 under 40”, and currently serves on the Boards of SV Creates and the Knights Community Advisory Committee for San Jose. She is a former President of IIDA’s Northern California Chapter and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Louisiana State University.
