HFF’s Scott Pertel named NAIOP San Francisco Bay Area president

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – January 27, 2016 – HFF announced today that NAIOP’s San Francisco Bay Area Chapter has appointed Scott Pertel as president for a one-year term effective December 2015.


The president position entails overseeing the chapter finances and the eight separate committees that manage the day-to-day-activities of the chapter. The president also represents the chapter’s membership of 560 members and 52 sponsors within the local real estate community.

“Without question, NAIOP has been, and continues to be, the most influential real estate organization for my career development and growth,” said Mr. Pertel. “My goal as president is to make sure our entire membership benefits in the ways that I have from NAIOP through the networking opportunities that we provide, deal-centric environment we create for our members, and the events we offer, which last year alone tallied 40 separate events geared towards deal making and networking.”

Mr. Pertel is a managing director in HFF’s San Francisco office concentrating on office and industrial transactions with a focus on sale leasebacks and net lease sales in the Western United States. He has been involved with NAIOP for 10 years serving on various committees and the Board of Directors as well as the Young Professionals Group (YPG). In 2014, Mr. Pertel was awarded the National NAIOP Developing Leader of the Year Award. He also sits on the board of CREATE San Francisco and the Stillwater Foundation. Mr. Pertel graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
