SAN FRANCISCO — March 2, 2015 — HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) has hired two new strategic leaders in its San Francisco office to expand client services in the healthcare and corporate practice groups.
Melissa Pesci, AIA, LEED AP, has joined HGA as an associate principal and project architect directing new project development in the corporate practice group. Her expertise includes architectural design, interior design, space planning, workplace strategy and sustainable design.
She most recently was with Associated Space Design in San Francisco, where she directed project management and business development.
Pesci has a Master of Architecture from University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. She is a licensed architect in California, and is a member of CoreNet and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Steven Steinberg, AIA, has joined HGA as an associate vice president and healthcare principal directing new business development and client relations. He has more than 30 years’ experience in healthcare, corporate, mixed-use and biomedical research/laboratory project work. His expertise includes site planning, programming, facility planning and architectural design for new and existing hospital campuses, medical office buildings and ambulatory care facilities nationally.
He most recently worked with Ratcliff Architects in Emeryville, California as a principal and co-leader of the healthcare practice, where he worked with such clients as Highland Hospital in Oakland, Stanford Health Care in San Jose and Palo Alto, NorthBay Healthcare in Fairfield and California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
Steinberg has a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. He is a licensed architect in California, Colorado and Arizona.
