Five DTZ Professionals Honored at ASVB Awards Banquet
San Jose, CA – Mar. 2, 2015 – DTZ, a global leader in commercial real estate services, announced today that the firm was recognized in multiple prestigious awards categories at this year’s Association of Silicon Valley Brokers (ASVB) awards banquet held at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in San Jose, CA on February 26. In all, five DTZ professionals were honored during the evening, to include a Hall of Fame inductee and Mike Murphy Award Winner.
Kalil Jenab, Vice Chairman of the firm’s Palo Alto office, was inducted into the ASVB Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame Award recognizes those who have been active in commercial real estate in Silicon Valley for 20+ years, produced a total consideration of $1.0 billion or more, and have been a consistent producer throughout one’s career. One of Silicon Valley’s and DTZ’s top talents, Mr. Jenab has completed over 1,000 transactions totaling over $2.5 billion in consideration during his successful career. Notably, Mr. Jenab was the #2 overall Top Producer for DTZ (legacy Cassidy Turley) in Northern California in 2014.
Kent Hillhouse, Senior Vice President of the firm’s San Jose office, was the recipient of the regarded Mike Murphy Award. This award is one of the highest honors bestowed upon a member of the Valley’s real estate community and represents the excellence and integrity that takes place in day-to-day business and in communities and charities. Mr. Hillhouse, a retired Major General of the U.S. Army, is a member of the Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation of Los Gatos. For his military acts of valor in 1968, Mr. Hillhouse was presented with the Silver Star and the Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster (in lieu of a second Silver Star) by the President of the United States of America. He was also awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
Steve Horton, Vice Chairman of the firm’s San Jose office, was recognized as a finalist in the Office, R&D and Multiple Broker of the Year categories. Consistently one of Silicon Valley’s top producing brokers, Mr. Horton is a past ASVB award winner across several different categories, including being inducted into the association’s Hall of Fame in 2010. Notably, Mr. Horton was the #1 overall Top Producer for DTZ (legacy Cassidy Turley) in Northern California in 2014.
Eric Fox, Executive Managing Director of the firm’s San Jose office, was recognized as a finalist in the Investment Broker of the Year category. He is part of the Northern California Capital Markets team that closed several high profile investment transactions in the Silicon Valley and along the Peninsula in 2014. Mr. Fox marketed and sold single assets and multi-building portfolios throughout Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
James Chung, Executive Managing Director, DTZ Retail – Terranomics, of the firm’s San Jose office, was recognized as a finalist in the Retail Broker of the Year category. Mr. Chung is long-considered as one of the most talented, respected and expert retail brokers in the South Bay region.
