Respected advisor to Valley tech tenants named President in the West as well as Market Director in Northern California
SAN FRANCISCO, April 23, 2018 – JLL announced that Andy Poppink has been named President of the firm’s Western region and Market Director for Northern California. He succeeds Elizabeth Hearle, who has retired after a 30-year career in commercial real estate.
Poppink is a 17-year veteran of the firm who previously headed its highly successful and widely respected Silicon Valley operations and who advises some of the Valley’s premier companies. He will continue to serve key clients in the region and nationally, and now also oversees one of JLL’s largest and fastest-growing regional platforms.
“Andy lives JLL’s core values of teamwork, ethics and excellence every day, both within the company and in his interactions with clients,” said John Gates, CEO of Markets for JLL Americas. “He is committed to building innovative and collaborative teams that deliver first-class service to our clients in the Western region.”
As President of the Western region, Poppink will oversee key business and service lines throughout the firm’s 20 offices in the Pacific Northwest, Southwest and Rocky Mountain regions. Service lines include leasing transaction management; property and facilities management; capital markets and investor services (including real estate investment banking and valuation and advisory); construction; and project and development services. These services are provided across all major industry sectors including office and industrial/logistics; technology and advanced manufacturing; retail; multifamily; hospitality; data centers and life sciences.
In Northern California, Poppink will be responsible for 10 corporate offices in the Bay Area and Sacramento, including major offices in San Francisco, Menlo Park, Oakland and Walnut Creek.

It was also announced that Tom Maloney has assumed Poppink’s prior role as leader of JLL’s tenant representation business in the Western region. Maloney specializes in representing Fortune 1000 corporations throughout the Western United States and San Francisco Bay Area.
Also in tandem with Poppink’s appointment, JLL announced that Bart Lammersen, a tenant representative with more than 20 years experience in Silicon Valley, has assumed day-to-day responsibility as brokerage leader in the Valley. This was a role previously performed by Poppink.
