Agile Workspace Provider Signs Leases at 625 Second Street in the Burgeoning SoMa Area and 126 Post Street in the Financial District
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (January 17, 2019) – In separate transactions that reflect the Bay Area’s upsurge of flexible office leasing activity, Knotel, the premier agile workspace provider, announced today that it has completed two new office leases totaling 62,979 square feet.
Knotel signed a 56,271 square-foot lease at Hudson Pacific Properties’ 625 Second Street, a recently-renovated historic property in San Francisco’s dynamic South of Market (SoMa) district. The new lease encompasses the entire 1st and 2nd floors of the four-story, 137,000 square-foot class A building, which is strategically located a block away from AT&T Park and what will be the Mission Rock complex.
In addition to Knotel’s new SoMa location, the firm has completed a new lease at126 Post Street in the Financial District. The 6,258 square-foot space takes up the building’s 3rd floor.
With the two deals announced today, Knotel’s overall presence in San Francisco has now grown to 22 locations totaling approximately 263,000 square feet.
Upon closing the transactions, Kwame Spearman, Head of Expansion for Knotel, commented, “San Francisco remains one of the tightest office markets in the country, with strong leasing activity by the tech sector, availability rates in the single-digits and limited big blocks of quality space. These newly available locations will help to address the high demand for flexible office options in the city.”

Brian McCarthy, Mike McCarthy, and Mike Monroe of Colliers International represented Hudson Pacific Properties at 625 Second Street, while Reza Musavi of Cushman & Wakefield represented landlord J.
