San Francisco—Kuth Ranieri Architects has promoted Michael McGroarty to associate principal, Ophelia Wilkins to senior associate, and Eliza Koshland to associate, announced Byron Kuth, FAIA, managing principal of the firm.
Michael McGroarty, LEED AP, joined Kuth Ranieri in 2013 and has more than 20 years of professional experience as an architect. For the past three years, Michael has served as the design team’s stakeholder engagement process manager for the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) Terminal 1C project, executed as a joint venture of Gensler and Kuth Ranieri. His current projects with the firm include the SFO International Building Renovation: Phase 1 and the Palcare Infant Daycare Renovation in Burlingame, California. A registered architect, McGroarty received his master of architecture degree from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in 2001 and his bachelor of architecture from Pennsylvania State University in 1997.
Ophelia Wilkins, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, joined Kuth Ranieri in 2015 and has more than 12 years of professional experience as an architect. Since 2011, she has been engaged in virtually all phases of design and implementation for a variety of projects at SFO: recently completed projects include the Terminal 1C Arrivals Level baggage claim area and the Terminal 1C Big Room. She is currently completing a pediatric clinic renovation for the UCSF School of Dentistry and embarking on a campus master plan for the Bay School of San Francisco. A registered architect in the state of California, she received a master of architecture degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007 and a bachelor of science degree from Brown University in 2001.
Eliza Koshland joined Kuth Ranieri in 2011 and has nearly a decade of professional experience as an architect. Most recently, she has been the lead project manager overseeing construction administration for the Balboa Pool renovation and has been a part of the design team for the SFO Terminal 1 renovation. Her current work for the firm includes the Oak Manor Residence and Pacific Heights Residence Rooftop. She received her master of architecture degree from the University of Washington in 2010 and her bachelor of art in urban studies from Barnard College, Columbia University, in 2005.
