Landsea Homes Acquires Abigail Place for First Community in Danville

  • Development Slated to Start in Late 2018
  • Company Expands to Fifth Northern California Market
  • High Performance Homes Offering Energy Savings to New Home Buyers

Irvine, Calif. (May 23, 2018) — Landsea Homes today announced another strategic expansion with the acquisition of Abigail Place, the homebuilder’s first community in Danville, CA. The company is currently building homes in four other Silicon Valley and East Bay markets, including The Vale in Sunnyvale, Sienna in Milpitas, Stoneyridge in Walnut Creek and the master-planned community of Sanctuary Village in Newark.

“Our mission is to build homes in highly-desirable markets across the United States, and Abigail Place certainly fulfills that mission,” said Mark Chamberlain, vice president for Landsea Homes. “Danville is another destination location for our Northern California portfolio, and new homebuyers will appreciate our exceptional planning, unmatched attention to detail and best-of-class, high-performance homes.”

Abigail Place includes approved plans for 17 single-family homes located along Old Blackhawk Road and Camino Tassajara in Danville. Close to Blackhawk Plaza, which offers an exclusive mix of local, regional and national shops and restaurants in a beautiful waterfront setting, these homes are in the heralded San Ramon Valley Unified School District, one of the highest-achieving school districts in California. Land development is expected to begin in late 2018, and the first new homes are expected in Spring 2019.

“Danville’s strong sense of community is one of its’ most desirable attributes,” noted Chamberlain. “From Farmer’s Markets to street fairs to holiday celebrations and unmatched dedicated open space with hiking and biking trails and natural creeks, residents at Abigail Place will enjoy a quality of life unmatched in the region. In addition to being next to nature, residents will also be close to more than 450 technology companies located in the Tri-Valley region.”

Abigail Place was acquired from Braddock and Logan Homes; sales price was not disclosed.

In addition to Silicon Valley and the East Bay, the company has developed homes in New York, Boston, New Jersey, and Los Angeles and Orange County, California and recently purchased land for new homes in Chandler, Arizona.
