Sacramento, CA, – PCBC, the largest homebuilding tradeshow and business exchange representing the west coast, has announced its co-chairs for 2014. Layne Marceau, President of the Northern California Division of Shea Homes, and Colleen Edwards, President and CEO of EMC Creative, will preside at the event, June 25 and 26 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center.
Both Marceau and Edwards are fixtures in the Bay Area homebuilding community. As co-chairs, each will take an active role in the planning and production of the show as it returns to their hometown, and both are excited to put their spin on one of the homebuilding industry’s most respected events.
As a long-time attendee of PCBC, Marceau offers executive perspective as one who has had direct involvement with the business and deal-making generated at the show. In his role as 2014 co-chair, Marceau is directly involved in creating an environment designed to encourage the exchange of business. “I am honored to take on the role of co-chair for an event that contributes so many great things to the homebuilding industry,” he said. “Many times, the start of something great for our company has started at PCBC, and I’m excited to help foster that exchange for the continued growth of our industry.”
Edwards, also a long-time contributor to PCBC, cites the quality of her past experience and the constant re-envisioning process that drives the show’s content as motivation for taking on the role. She lends her branding expertise to the event and brings with her the goal of expanding the value that PCBC provides to its attendees. Said Edwards, “PCBC is a driver of thought, innovation, and relationships within the homebuilding industry. I am thrilled to be a part of shaping the 2014 experience. The educational content, the industry insights, the networking and camaraderie– the full scope of the event is invaluable to our homebuilding community.”
Layne Marceau has been with Shea Homes since 1995, having served as Vice President of Finance for the Southern California Division and Corporate Vice President of Operations before stepping into his current role in 2000. A long-time member of the California Building Industry Association, he served as Chairman of the Association in 2006 and was inducted into the California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame in 2009.
Colleen Edwards is one of the state’s leading branding and marketing strategists. Her firm, EMC Creative, specializes in placemaking, and works with cities, redevelopment areas and master planned communities throughout the country.
