Placer County Converts Auburn School Into California’s First New Police Academy in 20 Years

The Placer County Sheriff's Office has repurposed a shuttered Auburn elementary school into the first POST-certified law enforcement academy to open in California in more than two decades, a stopgap for a bond-funded regional training campus that Sierra College is planning on 50 acres near Roseville.
