Today we sit down with Tim Schoen, the President and CEO of BioMed Realty, the leading provider of real estate solutions for the life science and technology industries. Tim has been BioMed’s CEO since 2016, when he joined the company following its acquisition by Blackstone Group. Tim brought to BioMed years of commercial real estate experience from Healthpeak and Kilroy Realty Corporation. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Salk Institute in San Diego and is also the chair of Salk’s Conquering Cancer Initiative Advisory Committee.

Tim Schoen has been recognized as the Dealmaker of the Year in the 2019 Real Estate Deal of the Year Awards program, presented by the San Francisco Business Times. Additionally, BioMed Realty’s Zymergen lease at Emeryville Center of Innovation was named Deal of the Year.
