Rubio’s Coastal Grill, formerly Rubio’s Restaurants, has signed a lease for a new 2,500 square foot restaurant at Deer Creek Village in Petaluma, CA. The popular fast casual chain known for its delicious seafood-inspired coastal cuisine is slated to open its new North Bay location this summer. Deer Creek Village is a new mixed-use center located at the southwest corner of McDowell Boulevard and Rainier Avenue and is owned by Merlone Geier Partners. Michael Seigel and Sharon Carmichael with Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Services group represented the tenant in the transaction.
Currently in the process of completely rebranding its menu, interior and even name in 60 California outlets, the award-winning Rubio’s is headquartered in Carlsbad, Calif., has over 4,000 employees and operates nearly 200 restaurants in California, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Nevada, plus plans for expansion on the East Coast this year.
