Santa Clara has released a two-phase Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a developer to ground lease 4.83 acres of City-owned land at 900 and 1000 Lafayette Street. The winning team would deliver at least 300 homes, a food hall, a town square, a re-created Santa Clara Theater and Downtown parking, in the first major test of the city's plan to rebuild the Downtown it demolished in 1963.
