Two Promoted To Vice President and Firm Adds Project Manager
SAN MATEO, CA – May 27, 2014 – Sares Regis Group of Northern California (SRGNC), a leading developer and manager of commercial and residential real estate, announced that their affiliate, Regis Contractors Bay Area, has promoted project managers Ken Vavrousek and Michelle Green to vice president. Additionally, Daniel Griffiths has joined the commercial division as a senior project manager.
Regis Contractors Bay Area has promoted Ken Vavrousek to vice president of pre-construction. Vavrousek is responsible for the early stages of design on SRGNC’s residential projects. Vavrousek, who’s been at Sares Regis for 14 years, just completed overseeing construction of Township apartments, a new 132-unit luxury apartment community recently developed in Redwood City.
With 15 years of project management experience, Vavrousek specializes in working with governmental agencies, design consultants, clients, financial institutions, suppliers, and sub-contractors from conceptual design through project completion. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from U.C. Berkeley and a Master of Science degree in Construction Engineering and Management from Stanford University.
Michelle Green has been promoted to vice president of operations of Regis Contractors Bay Area. Green has led the way for implementation of a new project management program to help oversee and close out projects more efficiently. Through this promotion, her duties will be overseeing planning of the firm’s many projects. Green formerly managed construction projects from pre-construction to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, logistics, and client and subcontractor relations. She recently completed 888 San Mateo, a new 155-unit multifamily residential project that opened in April 2014.
“By appointing Michelle and Ken as VPs, we will be able to expand construction capacities,” said Boris Orloff, President of Regis Contractors Bay Area. “As veterans of Sares Regis, we look forward to their continued contributions to the company and our many development partners.”
Daniel Griffiths will bring his project management expertise to SRGNC’s commercial development projects with Google, NVIDIA, the Marin County Emergency Operations Facility and other SRGNC projects. Prior to joining SRGNC, Griffiths spent seven years with Portland-based Hoffman Construction, eventually opening and running their Bay Area operations. Griffiths graduated from Brigham Young University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.
“We are excited to have Daniel join our team,” said Jeff Birdwell, president of Commercial Development at SRGNC. “His prior experience with handling large, complex construction projects such as data centers assures us that Daniel will be a great asset to the division and our clients.”
