SAN MATEO, CA– Sares Regis Group of Northern California (SRGNC), a leading developer of commercial and residential real estate has announced three promotions in the firm. Ken Busch and Jeff Smith have been promoted to Senior Vice President of Residential Development. David Feinberg has been promoted to vice President within in the Investments Division.

Busch and Smith will oversee residential project development strategies from inception to execution and implement forward planning on a wide range of new rental and for-sale residential communities. Feinberg is responsible for apartment community acquisitions in the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest on behalf of the Sares Regis Multifamily Fund, continuing his success in the multifamily sector.
Jeff Smith has 22 years of real estate development and construction experience in Northern California. For almost 17 years, Smith has overseen all phases of residential projects at SRGNC, including entitlement, design, construction oversight and leasing or sales.
Major projects Smith has led include The Plaza in Foster City, Township in Redwood City, and Colonnade in Los Altos, whose 167 residences were recently entirely leased by Stanford University. His development experience at SRGNC includes 17 communities; comprising of 1,800 homes; and valued at over $1.1B.
Ken Busch has over 25 years of experience in real estate. Busch joined SRGNC in 2002 and manages the development of residential communities through due diligence, entitlements, design, financing, construction, leasing and sell out. Recent projects include 888 N. San Mateo, 6 Ten East, and Altaire in Palo Alto.
Prior to joining the firm, Busch was Vice President/Senior Investment Manager at Hearthstone. Busch’s experience includes over 4,000 units with a retail value of over $1.5B.
David Feinberg joined SRGNC in 2010 as Investments Manager and has expanded the firm’s multifamily acquisition effort and growth of the Multifamily Fund. Feinberg has helped the SRNGC create a significant presence in the Pacific Northwest with three new acquisitions in Washington and Oregon in the past 12 months. In addition, Feinberg has supported all investment group activities in the Bay Area region.
Prior to joining SRGNC, Feinberg served as Vice President of Acquisitions at RREEF (a member of the Deutsche Bank Group). Feinberg received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound and MBA from Northwestern University.
