San Francisco – Skanska one of the largest and top construction firms in the world, will host the 2nd annual Breaking the Mold: Women in Leadership event. It’s free to anyone who wants to attend and it will be held on Wednesday September 9th from 5pm-8pm at the Autodesk Gallery, One Market Street #200 in San Francisco.
The event is aimed at helping women grow and become leaders in the workplace, especially in industries like construction. “We must have deliberate goals and methods for recruiting, retaining, and promoting women in our organizations. Every woman’s path is different, yet we often face similar challenges personally and professionally. We need more forums like this to connect, openly share our experiences and empower women at all levels to lead boldly,” said Julie Hyson, Business Development Director for Skanska USA Building Inc.
This year Skanska partnered up with Autodesk, a high-tech software firm. Amy Bunszel, a VP at Autodesk Inc. will serve as the moderator at the event. Panelists include Jennifer Cabalquinto from the Golden State Warriors, Betsy Huigens with the San Francisco International Airport, Alethea O’Dell from Northland Controls, and Minette Norman and Alicia Wong with Autodesk, Inc.
