Pleasanton, Calif. – June 4, 2017 – Simon’s Stoneridge Shopping Center welcomes Amanda Fernandez as the new director of marketing and business development for the center. Fernandez brings more than 10 years of marketing experience with a dynamic blend of expertise across the retail, hospitality and food and beverage industries. Her applied leadership philosophy will nurture operational and business development, while her innovative mindset will enrich creativity and marketing efforts.
In this role, Fernandez will lead overall marketing strategies such as event programming, social media, guest services, public relations and overall communications. Additionally, she will manage various business functions encompassing revenue generation, as well as community, tenant and partner relationships.

In her most recent role at Westfield San Francisco Centre she led a variety of key initiatives, including tourism, customer experience, community and retailer relations. Progressing quickly in her career, she moved from a marketing contractor to the marketing director in under three years. She also served as the marketing chair for the Union Square Business Improvement District and served on the Marketing Committee of the Yerba Buena Community Benefit District.
Other career highlights include building the Bourbon Steak, Bourbon Pub and Michael Mina’s Tailgate restaurant brands for Michael Mina and the San Francisco 49ers joint venture at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, leading one of Ketchum San Francisco’s longest running food B2B client accounts, and working with Andrew Freeman to open Tyler Florence’s Wayfare Tavern in San Francisco. For the past 11 years, Fernandez has supported the Okizu Foundation, a local organization benefiting children and families battling pediatric cancer, by serving on the Art Inspiring Hope fundraiser gala committee.
She is a Bay Area native having grown up in Burlingame and now resides in Lafayette. Fernandez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Italian from University of Arizona.
