Innovative builder and real estate enterprise hires seasoned construction executive from Webcor Builders to lead Suffolk West Region operations in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego and West Coast markets
BOSTON–Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders and real estate enterprises in the country, announced it hired Tony Rango as president of Suffolk West Region. Mr. Rango will be responsible for leading Suffolk operations in its existing markets of San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego and expanding the company’s presence throughout the state of California. Mr. Rango will leverage his leadership skills, business development experience, in-depth industry knowledge and understanding of the self-performance function to position Suffolk’s west coast operations for sustainable growth and success.

Before joining Suffolk, Mr. Rango held leadership positions at Webcor Builders for more than 22 years. At Webcor, Mr. Rango served as executive vice president and chief operating officer where he oversaw all operational activities, executive management and staffing for projects and led the company’s Northern California business unit. His industry experience also includes business development, operational efficiencies, budgetary oversight, jobsite safety, employee engagement and client satisfaction.
Aligned with the strength of its new leadership team, earlier this year Suffolk announced an expansion from its core business of construction into additional vertical service lines to create a fully-integrated platform that adds value for clients across the entire building lifecycle.
