BJ’s Restaurant Pouring Into Dublin’s New Target-Anchored Fallon Gateway Shopping Center
February 21, 2012 –Matt Kircher, Todd Oliver and Mike Costa with Terranomics Retail Services have teamed up in brokering the lease of 8,500 square feet of freestanding restaurant space in Dublin at the brand new Fallon Gateway Shopping Center between landlord Charter Properties and tenant BJ’s Retaurant and Brewhouse. Kircher represented Charter Properties and Oliver and Costa represented BJ’s Restaurant in the transaction. Fallon Gateway is a Target-anchored shopping center located in the center of the Tri-Valley trade area serving Dublin, Pleasanton & Livermore. It is located at the North West quadrant of Fallon Road and Interstate 580 with high visibility to Interstate 580. The ±379,053-square-foot project was fully entitled and received approvals for the site plan, signage and elevations from the Dublin City Council in the spring of 2009. BJ’s is among the initial pre-committed tenants in the project and is scheduled to open its new Tri-Valley restaurant in mid 2012. Thomasville Opening New 10,475 SF Furniture Showroom; Reclining in Roseville
February 21, 2012 –Blair Wheatley, James Teare, SCLS and James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services teamed up to represent tenant Thomasville Retail, Inc. in the furniture company’s long-term lease of 10,475 square feet of inline space at the Creekside Town Center in Roseville.   Thomasville will be relocating its furniture showroom from its current site in Roseville and opening at its new space this summer. The property is located at 1196 Galleria Boulevard at Highway 65 and is owned by CPT Creekside Town Center, LLC. Thomasville furniture is sold through more than 150 independently owned Thomasville Home Furnishings Stores, as well as over 400 leading independent retail stores. The company has produced two of the most successful licensed furniture collections in the industry: Ernest Hemingway®, The Collection of a Lifetime; and Humphrey Bogart™.

ARYA Opening New Restaurant in Downtown Redwood City; Expanding from Cupertino
February 21, 2012 – Mike Costa, Todd Oliver and Matt Taylor with Terranomics Retail Services collaborated to broker the lease of 4,961 square feet of restaurant space in downtown Redwood City between Property Development Associates and ARYA Global Cuisine. Expanding its presence from its only regional location in Cupertino, ARYA will be opening its brand new peninsula restaurant location at 885 Middlefield Road, situated within downtown Redwood City’s cinema-oriented project On Broadway. ARYA specializes in Persian, Italian and American foods and its new space offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The space was formerly tenanted by Citrine, New World Bistro. Costa and Oliver represented Property Development Associates and Taylor represented ARYA in the transaction.

Investor Purchases 16,186 SF Retail/Office Building in San Jose for Nearly $1.3 Million
February 21, 2012 –Jon Stansbury with Terranomics Retail Services and Eric Fox of Cassidy Turley represented seller Wells Fargo Bank in the bank-owned sale of a 16,186-square-foot multi-tenant  retail/office building in San Jose for $1,285,000 ($79 per square foot).  The buyer was Phan and Nguyen. The two-story building is located on one of the city’s main thoroughfares at 1655-1665 West San Carlos Street and is part of a larger multi-building center with different ownerships. The building was approximately 43% leased at time of sale.

Canon Business Solutions Takes 10,283 SF at High Profile Site in San Francisco
February 21, 2012 –Rhonda Diaz Caldewey and Jessica Birmingham with Terranomics Retail Services represented landlord AREA Property Partners in the lease of 10,283 square feet of end cap space in San Francisco, situated on the ground floor of the 17-story high-rise at 201 California Street. The new tenant is Canon Business Solutions, Inc., a Canon U.S.A. company, which penned a  long-term lease agreement. 201 California at Front is situated in the epicenter of the Financial District. Located on the corner of California and Front, this high profile location is surrounded by the north and south Financial District and the bustling Embarcadero waterfront. 201 California offers a dense daytime population, hotels, restaurants, and popular tourist destinations.

Cycle Gear Racing to New Location in Bakersfield, Ming Plaza
February 21, 2012 –Don Krieger with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Cycle Gear in the lease of 5,000 square feet of inline space at Ming Plaza in Bakersfield. The property is owned by Meridian Pacific, Ltd. Cycle Gear, America’s largest specialty retailer of motorcycle parts, apparel and accessories, will be relocating its Bakersfield store this summer. Cycle’s new space is set just a few smiles south from its current location on the opposite side of Highway 99. Ming Plaza is anchored by Ross and co-tenants Office Max and Rent-A-Center.

Warriorz Health & Fitness Seeks Heart of Elk Grove for New Gym
February 21, 2012 –Blair Wheatley and James Teare, SCLS with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner S&Z Partnership in the lease of 4,647 square feet of in-line space with new tenant Warriorz Health & Fitness in Elk Grove. The property is centrally located at the SWC of  Elk Grove Boulevard and Elk Grove Florin Road in the heart of the city.  Warriorz helps both kids and adults achieve their sports and fitness goals.

Union Bank Joining New Safeway-Anchored Pleasanton Gateway Shopping Center
February 21, 2012 – Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Union Bank, N.A. in its lease of 4,762 square feet of end cap space at the Pleasanton Gateway shopping center in Pleasanton. The Safeway-anchored shopping center is owned by Safeway’s development arm Property Development Centers, LLC.  Pleasanton Gateway is located off of the Interstate 680 / Bernal Avenue exit.

AutoZone Treading into San Leandro with Long-Term Ground Lease
February 21, 2012 – Jon Stansbury and James Gaglione with Terranomics Retail Services joined by Keith Claxton of Cassidy Turey represented tenant AutoZone in the ground lease a 1.19 acre (51,873 square feet) site in San Leandro for the auto parts retailer’s newest Hub Store concept. The property is well located between Interstates 580 and 680 at a highly visible site at 14844 East 14th Street at the busy intersection of Hesperian Boulevard. AutoZone penned a long-term agreement and will be constructing its new auto parts store on the site. The property is owned by Paul & Soheyla Hafai.

Calvine Pointe Regional Center Gets Deposit from Bank of America
February 21, 2012 – Keith Mellor with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner Lyocoming Development Company, LLC in the ground lease of 0.88 acres (38,332 square feet) at the Calvine Pointe Regional Center in Elk Grove. The new tenant is Bank of America, which penned a long-term lease and will be constructing one of its prototypical bank branches at one of the entryways in the center. Calvine Pointe Regional Center is strategically located at the lighted intersection of Calvine Road and Elk Grove Florin Road.  The location offers several points of entry, newer construction, and prominent visibility on one of Elk Grove’s busiest commuter arterials.  Kohl’s and a planned Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market anchor the Center.
