24 Hour Fitness to Join San Jose’s Eastridge Center (Mall) in 2015
24 Hour Fitness has completed a long-term deal to lease 38,861 square feet of space for its brand new health club at Eastridge Center (mall) in San Jose. Serving as co-anchor, 24 Hour Fitness is slated to open at the mall sometime early-to-mid next year. The two-level mall is located at California Highway 101 at Capitol Expressway and Tully Road and is owned by General Growth Properties. Eastridge features over one million square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment and is co-anchored by Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears, Barnes & Noble, and Sport Chalet, plus features 150 stores and a 15-screen AMC Theatres. Planet Fitness Opening New Health Club at Kmart Center in Sacramento
Planet Fitness has signed a long-term deal to lease 22,200 square feet of end cap space at the Kmart shopping center in Sacramento. Located at the SWC Stockton Boulevard and Lawrence Drive, the neighborhood center is owned by Doerken Properties. Planet Fitness is scheduled to open in late fall and will be positioned in the space adjacent to Kmart. Other key tenants in the center include Aaron’s Rents, Radio Shack and Burger King. Starbucks Ongoing Growth in Sacramento Valley Becomes More “Common”
Starbucks has signed a long term lease for a brand new coffee house at Commonwealth Square neighborhood shopping center in Folsom (Sacramento Valley). Starbucks will be opening in a 2,733 square foot freestanding space at the center located on E. Bidwell Street and Wales Drive and owned by Commonwealth Equity, LP. This is one of several new locations the popular coffee retailer has expanded within Sacramento Valley in recent years. Smoking Pig BBQ Flying into San Jose’s Coleman Landings Shopping Center
Silicon Valley-based Smoking Pig BBQ has selected Coleman Landings shopping center in West San Jose for the opening of its third local restaurant. Smoking Pig signed a long-term lease for 2,700 square feet of end cap space in the recently constructed center anchored by Lowe’s, and also featuring a City Sports Club, In N Out Burger and Starbucks. Coleman Landings is owned by Arcadia Colemand Landings, LLC and is located on Coleman Avenue, just off Interstate 880, across from San Jose International Airport as well as the proposed new Earthquakes stadium and other major planned development. The Diablo Yoga Center Opening Studio at Clayton Valley Shopping Center, Concord
The Diablo Yoga Center has signed a long-term lease for 2,080 square feet for a new East Bay studio at the Clayton Valley Shopping Center in Concord. The center is located at 5424 Ygnacio Valley Road at Clayton Road and is owned by Regency Centers. Key national retailers in the center include Orchard Supply Hardware, Ross Dress for Less, CVS/pharmacy and more. Styles for Less Grabs More NorCal Space at Second Street Crossing, Davis
Styles for Less has signed a new lease for 3,262 square feet of end cap space at the Second Street Crossing retail center in Davis, CA. Owned by Buzz Oates, the retail center is located at the NWC Second Street and Mace Boulevard and features major retailers like Target and TJ Maxx. Styles for Less has over 150 stores and offers shoppers the latest styles of clothing, shoes, accessories and more, for less. Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa to Join Brand New Persimmon Place, Dublin
Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa has signed a long-term lease for 2,000 square feet of space at the brand new Persimmon Place shopping center in Dublin being developed by owner Regency Centers. Hand & Stone will open upon completion of the center, which broke ground earlier this year and is anticipated to open spring 2015. The center is located at Dublin Boulevard and Hacienda Drive near California Highways 680 and 580. Launched in 2005, Hand & Stone is a 160-plus unit massage and facial spa franchise that now has locations in 21 states and Canada.
