OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 25, 2012 – Donald Simon, a partner at Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, has been named a recipient of the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) 2012 Leadership Awards. The USGBC awards “seek to recognize outstanding individuals who embody the vision, leadership and commitment to the evolution of green building and communities as a vehicle to enhance our quality of life.” Simon will be honored with this year’s President’s Award, which will be presented at the Leadership Luncheon on Nov. 15 during USGBC’s Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in San Francisco.

“I’m humbled by this honor and eternally grateful for the opportunity USGBC has provided me to blend my passion with my profession,” said Simon. “The green building movement’s overwhelming and growing success is proof that a small group of passionate people can start a contagion that changes the world. My firm, Wendel Rosen, has embodied this same vision by pioneering legal services to serve and expand the green building industry, as well as the broader green business movement.”
