SAN FRANCISCO (March 6, 2019) – Colliers International has leased 54,564 square feet of office space at 755 Sansome Street to WeWork. The lease will be for the entire above-grade portion of the building. John Jensen, Executive Vice President, and Ms. Yang Chen, Managing Director of Colliers’ Asia Pacific Division, represented the landlord, Shanghai Lingang Economic Development Group, in the transaction.
Dubbed the Lingang International Innovation Center, 755 Sansome Street represents Lingang Group’s efforts to build a platform that optimizes domestic and international markets and resources by fostering deep connections and integrating international talents, knowledge, funds and industry resources.
“Lingang Group and WeWork share the same mission and goal,” Ms. Yan Shen, Director of Operations in US of Lingang Group said, “WeWork has significant advantages in global coverage, business volume and brand influence. Lingang Group is the largest industrial park development company in Shanghai with over 30 years’ experience”. Lingang has eighteen industrial parks in total, housing more than eight thousand companies.
“WeWork has a global membership base of 330,000”, Yan continued, “including more than 25,000 members in China where it has a significant and fast-growing presence among a large number of innovative companies, including a quarter of the companies in the Fortune 500. We are excited to have WeWork as our tenant.”
Slated to open in Q2 2019, 755 Sansome will be one of WeWork’s first locations in San Francisco to feature the company’s new “HQ by WeWork” concept, a new offering created specifically to meet the needs of medium-sized businesses—companies with 11 to 250 employees.About Colliers International Group Inc.
