ELEVATE Bay Area: Industry Celebrates Diversity & Women’s Leadership in Commercial Real Estate

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 11, 2021) – With a goal of celebrating the diversity and leadership of women in the commercial real estate industry throughout the Bay Area region, CREW East Bay, CREW SF, CREW SV and The Registry partnered to produce the 5th Annual ELEVATE, a virtual awards gala held on May 6, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm.

The event was a celebration of women in the commercial real estate industry. It honored employers and associations that have implemented programs promoting greater diversity in the workplace, and it celebrated exemplary women and men who are making a positive impact in today’s industry through consistent leadership and exemplary contribution to programs that reinforce diversity in the workplace. The honorees came from over 425 nominations, and they were awarded the top recognition in six categories: Inspirator Award; Rising Rock Star Award; Elevation Award; Women in Tech Award; Industry Impact Award and Break the Ceiling: Corporate Leadership Award. Additionally, each of the CREW Chapters handed out their own awards: CREW MVP and CREW Connection Award.

“Forming a partnership with the three Bay Area CREW Chapters to produce ELEVATE is the epitome of what a joint partnership should be,” said Heather Bosanac, president and co-founder of The Registry. “Together, we see a clear vision for an inspiring event that the industry is excited to get behind. As a female business owner in this industry, I too have been inspired by other female leaders and mentors who have guided me through my professional growth, and the production of ELEVATE is a way to pay it forward.

The program began with a keynote conversation headlined by corporate relations executive, entrepreneur, advocate and author, Mary Stutts. The conversation was moderated by Dion Lim, Emmy Award-winning TV news anchor and reporter at ABC7/KGO-TV in San Francisco. The two discussed race, diversity & inclusion, mentorship and resilience.
