New, larger Silicon Valley HQ and plans for additional offices in San Francisco and the East Bay accommodate 8×8’s expanding workforce to drive company revenue growth and to capitalize on compelling market opportunity

SAN JOSE, Calif (July 08, 2019) – 8×8, Inc. (NYSE: EGHT), a leading cloud provider of voice, video, chat and contact center solutions for over one million users worldwide, today announced it has signed a multi-year lease for a new corporate headquarters located at 675 Creekside Way in Campbell, Calif. The company plans to move into the facility in the first quarter of calendar 2020. The new high-tech 178,000-square-foot, five floor, single-tenant building provides the necessary business requirements for capacity and expansion as a direct result of the growth that 8×8 has experienced over the past 18 months.

By providing greater capacity in both space and parking, the Creekside location is aligned with 8×8’s corporate strategy to provide high efficiency and modern workspace to foster the company’s rapid growth in the Bay Area and elsewhere. In fact, 8×8 has increased its employee base by 25 percent over the past year, with a significant portion of new hires based in Silicon Valley, leading to a need for more capacity. In addition to the new Campbell headquarters, the company has plans to open additional offices in San Francisco and the East Bay, and in Minneapolis, Minn. to accommodate growing teams across all departments. These new locations add to an expanding global presence for 8×8, which already has offices in New York City, London and Aylesbury in the U.K., Cluj-Napoca in Romania and Sydney, Australia.

“We have seen exciting momentum over the past 18 months across all areas of the business, most notably with new customers across all business segments, two strategic acquisitions, compelling channel partner growth, and rapid hiring of employees around the globe to meet the needs of our customers,” said Vik Verma, CEO at 8×8. “Our new global headquarters allows us to bring Bay Area employees together in a modern office facility. It has ample room for us to expand as we continue to hire top industry talent to drive our ongoing revenue growth and innovative product solutions. Just like our cloud technology platform provides customers with a great communications and contact center experience, we want to provide our employees with a welcoming, state-of-the art space in which to do their best work.”

With ample parking, 105 meeting rooms, various lounge and lunch areas, an Executive Briefing Center, a fitness center and game room, the new headquarters office boasts the space and amenities to host customers as well as retain and attract great talent to 8×8. The Creekside building is in an ideal location, adjacent to major freeways, minutes from the San Jose Mineta International Airport, and within walking distance to public transportation, hotels, restaurants and other amenities. As a final strategic marketing advantage, the 8×8 signage on the building will be seen by more than 50,000 commuters each day.

“Campbell is excited to welcome 8×8 as the largest employer in our city upon their occupation of the space, and I congratulate the company and their CEO Vik Verma on their impressive growth,” said Rich Waterman, Mayor of Campbell. “We’re confident the Creekside facility will exceed expectations and be the perfect location for 8×8 for years to come.”
