1. Assumption of Risk. I understand that participation in pickleball involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, contact with the ball, paddles, nets, or other players, overexertion, dehydration, heat-related illness, sprains, fractures, and other injuries — and in rare cases, serious injury, permanent disability, or death. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, including those arising from the negligence of others, and I accept personal responsibility for any resulting injury, illness, damage, or loss. 2. Physical Condition. I represent that I am physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent my safe participation. I assume full responsibility for my own health and any medical or related expenses I may incur. 3. Release and Waiver. I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Mighty Dot Media, Inc., d/b/a The Registry, together with its officers, directors, employees, agents, sponsors, volunteers, contractors, and the owners and lessors of the premises (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action of any kind arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death that I may suffer in connection with the Event, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law. 4. Indemnification. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or cost, including attorneys’ fees, they may incur arising out of my participation in the Event. 5. Governing Law. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. 6. Acknowledgment. I have read this Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk, fully understand its terms, understand that I am giving up substantial rights — including the right to sue — and sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
