On-demand fuel delivery now offered in San Ramon business campus

SAN RAMON, Calif. – Feb. 15, 2017 – In a major expansion outside the Silicon Valley, Booster Fuels has partnered with San Ramon’s Bishop Ranch, the largest mixed-use business community in Northern California, to provide its innovative on-demand fuel delivery service to the campus’ occupants. This collaboration allows tenants and their employees at Bishop Ranch the convenience of having their vehicles fueled while working.

“This partnership is a great success because Bishop Ranch and Booster Fuels are both focused on redefining the workplace by delivering affordable convenience,” said Frank Mycroft, CEO of Booster. “As a dynamic business community, Bishop Ranch has been a leader in offering tenants modern services on-campus. We are proud to be an environmentally friendly fuel delivery provider to the thousands of employees at Bishop Ranch.”

The collaboration will support the 30,000 employees who work at Bishop Ranch’s 600-company office campus, which includes industry leaders such as AT&T, GE, Toyota, IBM and Berkshire Hathaway.

In addition to the convenience factor, Booster provides a cost-efficient and environmentally friendly option for refueling. According to a study by Hexagon Transportation Consultants, Inc., by removing the need to stop at the gas station, Booster is able to eliminate roughly 1.5 miles of travel per delivery. As a result, average commutes are shortened by 30-60 minutes per month, thereby reducing carbon emissions.

“As an active community where people spend the majority of their work days, we work hard to find and deliver amenities that improve our tenants’ quality of life,” said Harout Hagopian, senior vice president and general manager of Sunset Development Company, who owns Bishop Ranch. “By working with Booster Fuels, our tenants can get a full tank of gas at the push of a button without having to pay more.”

Booster currently provides fuel “boosts” to thousands of customers every day throughout the Silicon Valley, including at tech-industry giants such as Cisco Systems, Oracle and Electronic Arts. Booster’s trucks, which are the result of years of research and development, only conduct business on private commercial property under agreements with property owners, away from busy public roads and pedestrians.

Booster Fuels utilizes a GPS technology platform similar to the one used by Uber in order to provide its on-demand gas delivery. Customers simply park their cars, use Booster’s mobile app to request service, leave the fuel door open and then return to find a full tank of gas. There is no subscription sign-up required, and no hidden fees are associated with the service. As well, Booster Fuels always offers a free on-demand gas delivery option, and the company does not mark-up its gas prices. Instead, it matches local rates and uses the same high-quality fuel used by traditional gas station franchises.
