The largest tenants in San Francisco currently lease 29.4 million sq. ft. of office space, 10.0 million sq. ft. more than 2013. Technology companies account for 51% of the current total, a 9.0 million sq. ft. increase from the 30% share it represented in 2013 and indicative of the industry’s maturation. All other industries combined increased their footprint by 1.0 million sq. ft. between 2013 and 2016, but saw their shares of the Top 100 drop sharply.
