Crazy 8 Signs New Lease at Alameda South Shore Center

Alameda, Calif. — Leading national real estate acquisition and management firm Jamestown announced today that Crazy 8, the popular children’s apparel store, has signed a new, 10-year lease at Alameda South Shore Center. With the arrival of Crazy 8, the 594,000-square-foot, open-air shopping center is now 92 percent leased.

“Crazy 8 was attracted to South Shore Center because of its prime location and accessibility to the many families living in Alameda and the neighboring communities,” said Julie Taylor, senior vice president of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank and the exclusive leasing agent for South Shore Center. “The new tenant was impressed by the center’s vibrant atmosphere and its distinction as a shopping and lifestyle destination,” she added.

Slated for opening in fall of this year, Crazy 8 will occupy Suite 280, a 3,117-square-foot space located directly across from See’s Candies. Specialty retailer Crazy 8 is a thriving member of The Gymboree Corporation’s group of brands. The shop offers fashionable outfits at excellent value for girls and boys, sizes newborn to 14. The first Crazy 8 store opened in August 2007, and Gymboree currently operates more than 300 Crazy 8 stores in the U.S.
