Debbi Waters has joined WRNS Studio as Associate Principal and Director of Planning. With
expertise in programming and planning for universities and cultural institutions throughout
the United States, Debbi will help elevate the firm’s national practice and grow its New York
office. Waters’ portfolio includes significant planning efforts for Rutgers University, the
United States Air Force Academy, Barnard College, and the University of Wisconsin,
Madison. Debbi was previously with Holzman Moss Bottino Architecture, where she led
numerous student union, library, and performing and visual arts projects.
Waters joins WRNS Studio at a time when the industry is pivoting toward empathetic
design, to truly understand how the built environment can support human needs and
ensure access to quality of life. “Debbi’s ability to solicit and synthesize diverse perspectives into a cohesive vision will bring great value to our clients, all of whom are looking to deliver places of profound community and cultural impact,” says founding partner, Bryan Shiles, who leads WRNS Studio’s New York office.
WRNS Studio is known for working for today’s most transformative organizations — The

Francisco, and Honolulu. The firm consistently earns a top ten spot in Architect magazine’s
