First Street Napa Welcomes Mayacamas as New Tenant in Fall 2018

NAPA, Calif. (September 14, 2018) – First Street Napa, the 325,000-square-foot mixed-use development in the heart of Downtown Napa consisting of 45 retail shops, restaurants, creative office space and the 183-room Archer Hotel Napa, is pleased to announce the fall 2018 opening of Mayacamas’ new downtown tasting room. Mayacamas’ location at 1256 First Street, adjacent to Charlie Palmer Steak Napa and below Archer Hotel Napa, will be a multi-use venue with a wine boutique, sidewalk patio and private tasting space.

“We are excited to welcome a local winery with deep roots in the Napa Valley community by supporting the opening of its new tasting room following the tragic North Bay wildfires,” said Todd Zapolski, principal of Zapolski Real Estate, LLC. “After meeting with the folks at Mayacamas, it became very important to us to help them find a new home. Our mission has been steadfast as we seek best-in-class retail and dining, and Mayacamas will be an outstanding addition to First Street Napa’s remarkable wine and culinary offerings.”

Founded in 1889, Mayacamas stands as one of the most storied vineyards and winery operations in Napa Valley, located high on the slopes of Mount Veeder. Since the 1950’s the vinification of Mayacamas wines has remained remarkably consistent with a continued commitment to employ classical techniques and tools that are integral to the character of the Mayacamas brand and product. In July 2013, Mayacamas was purchased by the Jay Schottenstein family, marking the beginning of a bright new era at Mayacamas. The Schottensteins continue the Mayacamas legacy and distinguished 125 year history while simultaneously moving the brand into the future through meticulous restoration of the winery and a shift to organic farming, all while maintaining the iconic winemaking techniques.

“Mayacamas has played a role in both the history and modern era of Napa Valley and we are looking forward to joining the thriving downtown scene as a part of First Street Napa,” said Jay Schottenstein. “We are excited to welcome visitors and locals alike to experience Mayacamas wines first hand.”

First Street Napa, owned and managed by Zapolski Real Estate, LLC and Trademark Property Company, welcomed its first series of shops and restaurants in Fall 2017 with continued openings phased throughout 2018.
