Five Guys Burgers and Fries Signs New Lease at Alameda South Shore Center

Alameda, Calif. – The iconic national burger chain Five Guys Burgers and Fries has signed a new, seven-year lease at Alameda South Shore Center announced Jamestown, a leading national real estate acquisition and management firm.

Five Guys will open late this summer in the 1,781-square-foot Suite 525, adjacent to Alameda Beauty Supply and across from Panera.  “As more visitors come to South Shore Center for family events, dining and shopping, Five Guys saw an opportunity to serve the active Alameda community,” said Julie Taylor, senior vice president of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank and the exclusive leasing agent for South Shore Center.

The original Five Guys Burgers and Fries was an immediate hit when it opened in 1986 in the Washington, D.C. area, serving grilled, hand-formed burgers and fresh-cut fries cooked in pure peanut oil. Today, with more than 1,000 locations nationwide and 1,500+ more in development, Five Guys has a cult-like following around the world.

Taylor, together with associate Stephen Rusher, represented owner Jamestown in the transaction. Ross White of SRSRE represented Five Guys.
