Gensler Names Joan Price Co -Managing Director

San Francisco – Gensler, a global design firm, announced today the promotion of Joan Price to Co-Managing Director of its San Francisco office.

Joan_01Price has been a Principal at Gensler for the past nine years, in which time she has led the firm in strategic business initiatives, and has served as Northwest Regional Director of Global Accounts. Price’s current accounts include Apple, Cisco, Google,, Symantec, Synopsys, Union Bank and Visa, among others.

“Joan is an extraordinary leader in San Francisco, throughout the region and across our Firm,” said Scott Dunlap, Regional Managing Principal. “She has been a driving force behind the growth of our global client accounts.”

Actively involved with CoreNet Global for more than a decade, Joan earned her Masters of Corporate Real Estate from them last year. She served on CoreNet’s Board and chaired multiple CoreNet committees between 2003 and 2005. Joan was elected President of the Northern California Chapter in 2006, and in 2007 was honored with the prestigious Northern California Corporate Real Estate Service Provider of the Year award. Joan is currently on the Board of the San Francisco Center for Economic Development, and will serve as co-Chair of that organization later this year.

One of Joan’s personal passions is support for important women’s issues. She is a key supporter of Next Door, a shelter and advocacy group for victims of domestic violence, and is a 9-time fundraiser for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Joan is a popular mentor to colleagues at all levels. Joan attended St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and Hunter College in New York City, and resides in San Francisco.
