HUD Signs Three Floors at One Sansome Tower

San Francisco  The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has signed a 10-year lease for 50,327 square feet at the landmark One Sansome Street Tower.  HUD’s new offices will take the entire 10th, 11th and 12th floors, as well as part of the 9th. HUD is expected to move into the space in the second quarter of 2014.  The building is currently 85 percent leased, with full-floors 28, 39, 40 and 41 still available.

OneSansome_Lobby2v2“HUD is a great new tenant for our building,” said Michael Barker, Managing Director of Barker Pacific Group, the administrative partner.  “It’s a beautiful building, situated at the iconic center of San Francisco’s Financial District, and will provide the many HUD employees a much better transportation option, with BART and Muni access directly into our lobby from the Montgomery Street station.”

Additional new lease activity includes Michael Page International Inc., which leased 2,867 square feet, and Post Street Capital Management LLC, which leased 2,042 square feet.  Jason Volpe of JLL of was the tenant broker for Michael Page International Inc.  Robert B. Tasker of CM Commercial Real Estate Inc., was the tenant broker for Post Street Capital Management LLCs.  Meade Boutwell, Phil Tippett, and Cori English of CB Richard Ellis’s San Francisco office represented One Sansome in its lease negotiations.

One Sansome Street is a joint venture between Prudential Real Estate Investors and Barker Pacific Group.
