LiquidSpace Introduces New App for iPhone Bringing Workspace Freedom to the Mobile Workforce

SAN FRANCISCO, April 16, 2015 — LiquidSpace, the world’s largest marketplace connecting people and workspace, today launched a redesigned mobile app for iPhone® including a number of new features that give professionals the power to find and book workspace in just a few taps, get up and running in the space more easily, and invite and track meeting guests. The app provides on-demand access to more than 5,500 flexible workspaces that can be booked by the hour, day or longer in nearly 600 cities across the U.S., Canada and Australia. In just a few taps, professionals can find the best place to do their best work – whether that’s getting in the zone in a private office, plugging into the energy of a coworking space, or bringing ideas together in a meeting room.

“There is a workspace revolution underway as professionals increasingly exercise choice about where to work,” said Mark Gilbreath, founder and CEO of LiquidSpace. “LiquidSpace opens up an entirely new network of workspaces for people to choose the location and environment that matches the diversity of their tasks at hand. Our new mobile app puts workspace freedom in the palm of your hand – from finding and booking a workplace to offering in-app support for everything you need after you’ve arrived.”

The mobile workforce is growing rapidly and is expected to reach 1.3 billion people worldwide this year.[i] Last year, LiquidSpace surpassed 1 million transactions in its marketplace and the new LiquidSpace iPhone app is an important part of the company’s growth strategy as mobile use of its platform has grown by more than 80% in the past year.

In addition to a new look, the LiquidSpace app for iPhone delivers a new end-to-end experience for professionals to easily find great workspace, get there faster and better connect with their colleagues. New features include:

  • Streamlined search features – professionals can now search for specific types of workspaces that meet their needs, in addition to filtering by price, amenities, location and availability for a specific date and time. For example, someone can now easily search specifically for an available nearby private office, meeting room, coworking space, open desk or training room.
  • Deep integration with iOS 8 to pay, stay organized and get there – guests can use their credit card or Apple Pay to complete their reservation and then sync booking details directly with iCal, Maps, Passbook and the iPhone’s Today view, making it simple to see workspace details, parking tips and WiFi passwords.
  • Invite meeting guests and know when they are running late – guests who have booked a meeting room can now quickly send invites through the app to colleagues or clients which automatically shares time, date and location details. Thirty minutes before a meeting, attendees will be prompted to share their arrival status and can notify the host if they are running a few minutes late in a single tap.
  • Extend a reservation – professionals who need a workspace for longer than originally booked can use the app to extend their reservation in just one tap.

Consumers are increasingly using their smartphones to book services at the last minute thanks to mobile apps that deliver on-demand access to everything from car services to couriers and workspaces. Currently, mobile bookings on LiquidSpace happen on average less than 20 hours in advance of the reservation start time, compared to 4.5 days in advance for bookings made from a computer.

The new LiquidSpace app for iPhone is available today and can be downloaded at the App Store. It will be available soon for Android. Android users can download the existing LiquidSpace app on Google Play, which includes basic features to find and book workspace on the go.

To celebrate the app launch, LiquidSpace is offering a 30% discount on any workspace booked through its mobile app by May 10, 2015. The code GOMOBILE is valid for one use per person. Details are available at
