The Little Ice Rink Skates Into South Shore Center Join the Opening Fun and Come Skate at the Beach

Alameda, Calif.– Alameda South Shore Center owner Jamestown, is pleased to announce that The Little Ice Rink is coming to South Shore Center for the second consecutive year, opening November 9 and continuing through January 20, 2014.

The Little Ice Rink is the largest outdoor skating rink between the East Bay’s Oakland Bay Bridge and Caldecott Tunnel and the only one with the Bobby Seal skating aid. Once again, it is being generously supported by the Perforce Software Foundation. The Little Ice Rink is produced and operated by Ice-America, a provider of permanent and seasonal ice rinks supported by industry-leading technology and event production expertise.

“Jamestown takes pride in creating traditions that the whole family can enjoy, year after year,” said Jamestown COO Michael Phillips. “The rink, along with our Santa House and Winter Wonderland, will be the site of many community-focused activities this holiday season and memories for years to come.”

Located on Park Street at Franciscan Way, and adjacent to Petco, the 3,000-square-foot rink, with expansive viewing deck, offers fun for the whole family.

Stay tuned for future guest appearances by local dignitaries and skating celebrities every Friday night. There will also be a Stroller Skate every Tuesday at 2 pm.

The rink will be open seven days a week beginning November 9, Monday through Thursday, from 3 pm – 10 pm, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 12 pm – 10 pm.
