San Ramon, Calif. (May 14, 2019) – City Center Bishop Ranch continues to gain momentum with the addition of three new eateries — C CASA, MIXT and SOCIAL-AFFAIR — further expanding the diverse and eclectic offerings at the new 300,000-square-foot shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
Meanwhile, Madewell, the popular fashion line offering premium denim, women’s clothing and a wide range of accessories, has signed a lease and is expected to open later this year. Established in 2006,the brandtoday operates more than 131 stores throughout the country and plans to open between Anthropologie and Sephora at City Center.
“We’ve always promised that City Center would offer a fun and fascinating mix of stores, restaurants and entertainment experiences,” said Alexander Mehran Jr., president and chief operating officer of Sunset Development Company, the center’s owner and operator. “C CASA, MIXT and SOCIAL-AFFAIR certainly provide unique culinary experiences for the community. We’re also pleased to welcome Madewell to the center, and know its offerings will further elevate the overall experience for our guests.”
C CASA isa Napa-based taqueria serving eco-friendly and innovative gourmet Mexican fare, including unique tacos, salads and rotisserie meats. Located next to Fieldwork Brewing Company and West Elm, C CASA offers a 100% gluten free menu, and a fresh approach to tacos with made-to-order white corn tortillas topped with ingredients such as seasoned buffalo, rotisserie lamb, grilled prawns, fresh crab, micro greens, goat cheese, chipotle aioli and Serrano salsa.
“We’re thrilled to bring our gourment Mexican fare to City Center Bishop Ranch and San Ramon,” said Catherine Bergen, founder and owner of C CASA. “San Ramon has been hungry for something new and we’re proud to serve food that is as delicious as it is nutritous, and in a setting where the community gathers for lunch and dinner with family and friends.”
MIXT, located on the corner of Bollinger and Sunset, offers fresh, locally-sourced salads, grain bowls and plates. Open for lunch or dinner daily, MIXT also offers craft beer and small-label wine on tap and a kids menu. From sprout to plate, MIXT is all about offering smart, healthy, real food to fuel busy lifestyles.
SOCIAL-AFFAIR, slated to open later this month on the second level next to The LOT, will be the Tri-Valley’s newest lounge offering wine and beer from around the world, tea and coffee, and artisanal foods including charcuterie boards, Firebrand artisan breads with fresh whipped butter and mouthwatering flatbreads.
“SOCIAL-AFFAIR is all about a celebratory atmosphere, warm hospitality and connecting with people, and I’m excited to bring a new kind of hangout to City Center and San Ramon,” said Gunjan Madan, owner of SOCIAL-AFFAIR. “My hope is that SOCIAL-AFFAIR will encourage you to spoil yourself with fine wines, artisan teas and hand-crafted foods. Small and intimate, the lounge invokes feelings of comfort and warmth that is unlike any wine bar or restaurant you’ve experienced before.”
