San Francisco (Apr. 17, 2018) – The national podcast “Leading Voices in Real Estate”, led by Matt Slepin, Founder of executive search consultant TerraSearch Partners, opened today its Season Two with the release of the first show, a Q&A with Keith Oden, President of Camden Property Trust, one of the largest apartment real estate investment trusts (REITs) in the U.S.
Oden shares personal observations on the business overall and specifically on growing a great company that’s built to last. The proof is in the pudding — Camden has been listed as one of America’s 100 Best Companies to Work For by Fortune Magazine for 11 years in a row and is the only REIT on the list. He explains the secret sauce of achieving the ‘best company’ designation; Camden’s rise as a top performer in the industry; its seminal move in innovating rent optimization software; and the importance of leaders setting intentions with colleagues and rejecting bad behavior. He also talks about how he splits time, responsibility and compensation with his C-suite partner, Ric Campo. This, plus Keith’s story and path towards success, all makes for a fascinating conversation.
Upcoming Season Two interviews will include Gerald Hines, CEO of the eponymous global real estate, investment and development firm; Fred Tuomi, CEO of Invitation Homes; Ken Woolley, founder of ExtraSpace Management; Jane Graf, CEO of Mercy Housing, among others.
“Leading Voices in Real Estate” has already topped over 100,000 downloads and averaged almost 6,000 listeners per episode. After launching with ULI’s help in 2016, Slepin moved to produce and share it independently. Season One and new Season Two shows are available through the website www.leadingvoicespodcast.com or on iTunes, Stitcher, and other podcast apps. Prior guests include Sam Zell, Gadi Kaufman, Chip Conley, MaryAnn Tighe, Jonathan Rose and others.
