San Francisco, CA—TEF Design has promoted Glynis Nakahara, the firm’s marketing director, to associate principal and Terry Buer, the firm’s controller, to associate, announced TEF founder Douglas Tom, FAIA.
Glynis Nakahara joined TEF in 2004 and has more than two decades of experience leading marketing efforts for architecture firms in the Bay Area. She is a member of the Japantown Task Force’s board of directors and co-chair of its land use/transportation committee. She was a member of Leadership San Francisco’s Class of 2017 and has served on the San Francisco Unified School District Multilingual Blue Ribbon Task Force. She received her bachelor of arts degree in communication from Mills College.
Terry Buer joined TEF in 2018 and has more than two decades of experience in accounting, financial management, and project controllership for firms in the Bay Area. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University and is currently working towards a master of science in finance degree from Golden Gate University.
