San Francisco, CA — TEF has promoted Amanda Hoch, Karen Nealon, and Maryam Rostami to the position of associate, announced TEF founder Doug Tom, FAIA.
Amanda Hoch, Assoc. AIA, has more than eight years of professional experience. With TEF, she recently completed work on the tenant buildout at Stanford Health Care’s Outpatient Campus in 2 and is part of the core team designing the consolidation of academic facilities in San Francisco for California College of the Arts, in collaboration with Studio Gang. A member of the board of directors of the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco, she received her bachelor of architecture degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Karen Nealon, Assoc. AIA, has over 20 years of professional experience, including 17 years focusing on health care interiors. Her projects with TEF include multiple projects for Kaiser Permanente throughout the Bay Area and the buildout of Pavilions D and C at Stanford Health Care’s Redwood City Outpatient Campus. She is currently completing work on a number of renovation projects for Kaiser, including Kaiser’s first inpatient psychiatric unit in Fremont. She received her bachelor of science degree in interior design from San Jose State University.
Maryam Rostami, LEED AP, has more than a decade of professional experience. Her portfolio includes education facilities, affordable and single-family housing, workplaces, and retail projects. Her projects with TEF include the Live Oak School expansion, the renovation of the Randall Museum, and the Pier 17 Swissnex/Swiss Consulate, all in San Francisco. She is currently part of the core design team working on the renovation and expansion of UC Santa Cruz’s Kresge College in collaboration with Studio Gang. She received her bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Texas, Austin.
