SAN JOSE, CA, APRIL 21, 2015 – Barry Swenson Builder (BSB), a division of Green Valley Corporation, announced today it has completed construction and renovation of The Atrium of San Jose Senior Living Facility.
The property at 1009 Blossom River Way in San Jose is an existing senior living facility that consists of 294 independent living units within 278,099 gross square feet on a 7.9 acre parcel. BSB’s work includes tenant improvements and the construction of an additional 5,162 square feet building structure.
Changes to the existing facility include reducing the amount of residential living units from 294 to 293. Of the 293 units, 213 are independent living units, and BSB converted 80 of these independent residential units into 54 assisted living units and 26 memory care units. In addition, 8 of the 293 existing independent living units were converted into common area space for a net loss of 1 residential unit at the project. The work also includes alterations to an existing dining room to create a new bar area. There is site work associated with the facility’s improvements, which includes re-grading of the interior courtyard for building foundations at the two new building expansions, the addition of two outdoor patios and the construction of new hardscapes and landscape.
