Marina Bay, Calif. — With homes already selling at a brisk pace of a home a day, The Shores, a collection of elegant condominium homes in the waterfront community of Marina Bay, will hold an open house and Grand Opening on Saturday, September 12 from noon to 4:00 p.m. The open house will be held at 1 Shoreline Court, just off of Interstate 580/80 and Marina Bay Parkway, 15 miles northeast of downtown San Francisco. Prices start at approximately $240,000, dramatically less than San Francisco and its nearby markets.
The Grand Opening will feature pop-up food tents, live music and personal tours of these well-designed homes. The one- and two-bedroom fully modernized homes at The Shores offer coastal condominium living with harbor views, resort-style amenities and an ideal location.
The Shores has received tremendous buyer response in its first seven weeks of sales, averaging one sale per day since opening doors in July – 51 homes to date.
“This may be the best value in the Bay Area. With prices starting at $240,000 and the property located right on the Bay, you have an elegant lifestyle for an amazingly affordable price,” said Paul Zeger of Polaris Pacific, the sales and marketing firm for The Shores. “At 51 homes and counting, it’s the fastest sales velocity of a property like this in many years.”
“The initial response has been very enthusiastic and we are excited to have a formal open house on September 12,” said Oz Erickson, chairman of Emerald Fund, the ownership representative. “We look forward to welcoming visitors to this quaint community with picket fences, charming coastal design, breezy walking paths, and extensive views stretching down to the harbor and across the San Francisco Bay.”
The Shores’ homes feature upgraded kitchens and bathrooms, well-appointed fixtures and finishes, open floor plans, and private balconies and patios with additional storage space. Community amenities include sparkling outdoor pools and spas, and an on-site fitness center.
The waterfront community is in close proximity to San Francisco, Marin and the entire East Bay. Conveniently located freeways within a mile of the property offer commuting advantages and easy access to dining and entertainment options in the nearby neighborhoods of Berkeley, Emeryville and Oakland.
A new report from Polaris shows East Bay housing is providing an alternative for more affordable pricing:
- Median price in Oakland / Emeryville I-80 corridor was $483,600, significantly less than San Francisco’s $1,097,000 median and Silicon Valley’s $645,000 median.
- 289 sales occured, a 5.9 percent increase from last year.
