Two Biotechnology Companies Inked Leases in Hayward Totaling +/-71,764 SF

Hayward, California –  Biolog, Inc., and Questcor, biotechnology companies recently inked leases totaling. ±71,764 square feet in the city of Hayward.

Both Biolog, Inc. (www.biolog.com) and Questcor (www.questcor.com) have been located in Hayward for the past twenty years.  “The cities central location makes it an ideal for the company’s headquarters”, said Todd Severson, SIOR, Senior Vice President with Colliers International in Oakland, “Hayward is characterized as the “City in the Heart of the Bay” and has easy access to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), the Alameda County Transit Authority (AC Transit), bridges and freeways.”

Biolog, Inc. renewed its lease of ±27,897 square feet at 21124 Cabot Blvd. in the Britannia Business Park. Todd Severson, SIOR and Rick Keely, both Senior Vice Presidents with Colliers International in Oakland represented Biolog, Inc. in this transaction. The Landlord was represented by WP Investments.

Biolog, Inc. is a privately held company that began operations in 1984. The company’s product lines have been built upon patented technology that greatly simplifies testing of cells. Biolog’s first products were introduced in 1988 and by 1990 it had established a profitable growing business in microbiology for the identification and characterization of microbial cells. In 1991, Biolog, Inc. was a recipient of the “R&D 100 Award” for the company’s groundbreaking bacterial identification products.

Questcor renewed their ±30,000 square lease at 3980 Point Eden Way and signed a ±13,867 square foot expansion at 26118 Research Road. The expansion will provide office space.  Both locations are in Point Eden Business Park.  Todd Severson, SIOR represented Questcor in this transaction and CBRE represented the Landlord,

Questcor is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of patients with serious, difficult-to-treat autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. Their efforts are currently focused on the fields of neurology, nephrology and rheumatology, areas of medicine which have significant unmet medical needs.
