An award-winning dream home in Lake Tahoe is up for grabs. The 5,670 square-foot custom home sits on 2.38 acres and backs up to Forest Service land, offering privacy and seclusion yet it’s still in close proximity to the lake. The design is a mix of timeless Tahoe lodge and modern industrial. Gorgeous custom steelwork is evident throughout, no surprise for a former master of the gridiron. The home was built in 2020 for Becca and Robert Gallery, who had a successful career playing football for the Oakland Raiders.

The Gallerys fell in love with the Tahoe area on vacation during Robert’s NFL playing days, and they decided to build the house of their dreams there after he retired. In 2018, the Gallerys made a decision to move their family from the San Francisco Bay Area to Tahoe to enjoy the mountain lifestyle on a more permanent basis. Winner of a 2023 Tahoe Quarterly mountain home issue “Tahoe Style” award, the residence was built by local contractor Markus Burkhart.

“The amount of local artistic talent, paired with attention to every detail, made our vision a reality. Our incredible team created every inch of our home to be specific and functional for our everyday Tahoe lifestyle,” said Becca Gallery.

The main house features five bedrooms, four and a half baths, a 1,400 square-foot covered deck, and countless custom intricacies found around every corner. There’s a floating staircase made of steel— designed and forged by local blacksmiths Jesse and Aaron Bushey of Bushey Ironworks, a 20-foot stone, floor-to-ceiling, double-sided fireplace and an eye-catching bar featuring exquisite wood, stone and rock work. There also is a fully detached guest house that includes one bedroom, one bath and four additional built-in bunk beds. The home has access to two buoys, two piers and a private beach located just across the street as part of the Tahoe Swiss Village homeowner’s association.

The home is listed at 10.2 million dollars. For showing appointments, contact Amie Quirarte at https://www.realestatenorthtahoe.com/contact-us/ or visit RealEstateNorthTahoe.com.
